Hi, guys! I'm Harry.
I am an experienced 11+ and 13+ teacher passionate about teaching and supporting young people through their entry examinations.
I thrive when things begin to 'click', and pupils become effective, competent learners with the familiarity, knowledge and confidence to answer and address questions effortlessly. My resources and tasks blend the necessary theory with replicas of your child's assessment, familiarising them with the expected structure and academic rigour.
I enjoy reading, learning foreign languages, travelling, film, writing, and current affairs in my free time.

I am a PGDE & QTS-qualified, experienced 11+ and 13+ teacher with effective, exam-focused strategies and a track record of improving results in English, Mathematics, Non-Verbal and Verbal Reasoning tests. I help students achieve their potential in 11+ examinations and can tailor lessons to specific entry assessment requirements in both CEM and GL.
When pupils take their assessments, they will have the familiarity, knowledge and confidence to answer and address questions effortlessly. My resources and tasks blend the necessary theory with replicas of your child's assessment, familiarising them with the expected structure and academic rigour.
With a wealth of experience gained over several years, I convey a diverse skill set and an unrivalled passion for education and tuition. Upon graduating from Queen's University Belfast, I gained entry to the competitive and intense Teach First Leadership Development Programme. During this time, I obtained QTS (qualified teacher status) and a modular Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), featuring classroom practice and several research-informed academic assignments. I also developed a robust pedagogical foundation that facilitates excellent outcomes through his rigorous and tailored approach to teaching. My teaching philosophy is rooted in cognitive science, centring lessons around critical thinking, active retrieval, problem-solving skills and making our lessons as fun and engaging as possible. I relish exceeding expectations to ensure my pupils are as prepared as possible for their 11+ examinations.
I have worked as a teacher in independent and state schools in the UK and abroad, teaching a wide range of ages and exam boards, specialising in geography but often encompassing and adapting to several other subjects in conjunction with this. My pupils have consistently achieved 100% pass rates, and well over 50% have achieved A*-A/top grades. I have also helped students with Global Perspectives, Maths and English while maintaining a Study Skills Specialist role with a support service to Higher Education Providers (HEPs).
