About Uma Shankar
My name is Umashankar, and I am a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics with over 8 years of teaching experience. I am currently working at Manas Sthali Residential School, Bareilly, where I teach Classes XI and XII. My academic background includes a B.Sc., M.Sc., and B.Ed. from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. I have a passion for making mathematics meaningful and accessible, and I regularly integrate real-world applications, concept-based learning, and exam-oriented strategies in my classes. I also hold multiple certifications from platforms like DIKSHA and have completed programs like the 3030 Eklavya Program by IIT Gandhinagar to enhance creativity and critical thinking in teaching. In my previous roles, I’ve served as a PGT at Bajaj Public School, Shahjahanpur and Shafi Public School, Bisalpur, and also worked as a Statistician Officer at the Land Revenue Office, Bijnor. I believe in continuous growth, both for myself and my students, and I’m committed to nurturing confident and curious learners.

I am currently teaching Mathematics to Classes IX and XII at Manas Sthali Residential School, Bareilly. My class typically consists of motivated senior secondary students, and I focus on building strong conceptual understanding, especially in topics like Calculus, Probability, and Algebra.
I use a mix of traditional methods and interactive techniques—like questioning, problem-solving sessions, and real-life applications—to make mathematics engaging and relatable. I also emphasize NCERT-based preparation and guide students for competitive exams like JEE Main and CUET.
