I generally like to start with a comprehensive review of all the necessary topics you will need to know for a given class/section. These allow me to identify your strengths and weaknesses in a given subject matter and generate highly-focused lessons for subsequent tutoring sessions. I also ask a lot of questions aimed at guiding your thinking in a different direction to come to the correct answer on your own, rather than flat out telling you the solution.
