About Alex
I am a recent recipient of a PhD degree in Applied Statistics from the prestigious School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Melbourne. Throughout my doctoral studies, my research primarily revolved around spatio-temporal modeling, where I adeptly applied statistical models to address real-world challenges. This experience has honed my analytical skills and enabled me to effectively tackle complex problems with a data-driven approach. I have 8 years’ experience in mathematical modeling and statistical models. This includes actively engaging in numerous academic and industry projects. During my second year as an undergraduate student, I had the privilege of participating in the American Mathematical Model Contest. This experience provided me with a valuable opportunity to showcase my mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities at a national level. My PhD project is also driven by real-world problems and I also have three internships in related area.
