I recently completed a PhD in Physics from UC Irvine, and have five years of experience mentoring, tutoring, teaching and TA-ing. I have authored and coauthored nine papers on galaxy evolution, cosmology and black holes. Throughout my academic experience I've always appreciated one-on-one instruction and interactive lessons. In this spirit, I approach each student and subject on a personal, individual level. There is no perfect one size fits all approach, as different people find different concepts and techniques simple or challenging. I love having back-and-forth discussions, where both the student and teacher question each other, and this is the key to my teaching style.
