About Khaled

Ph.D. Student in Biomedical Engineering, I hold a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and a Masters of Applied Science in Tissue Biomechanics. I have also experience in teaching and tutoring mathematics, computer programming, engineering design, biology, anatomy, and physiology among others.

About the lesson

- I will be tutoring university students of any level.

- I can do both face to face tutoring or online tutoring.

- The normal tutoring session starts with a brief outline of the concepts that will be covered, followed by going through the material and a Q&A between myself and the student. Exercises are normally provided to ensure that the student has understood the concepts. The next class session is finally provided during the last 5 minutes of each session.

- Each session will be at least an hour-long, depending on the required material to be covered.

- Assisting students with their studying requirements includes helping students with their assignments but not solving it for them. This could include providing help with questions regarding assignments and ensuring that a proper methodology has been implemented to solve these assignments.

- While fluent in English, Arabic, and German, I will be conducting the sessions in English.

- I would like the students to keep a diary (or an electronic version such as an app) to keep track of the work being done in their classes as well as in my tutoring sessions.

- If the course requires a computer (such as computer programming), please bring your laptop.

- Session timings will be booked ahead of time, a 24-hour notice would be required prior for cancellations or rescheduling. I will be available from Monday to Friday between 3 PM and 9 PM, and on Saturday between 12 PM and 6 PM (Ontario timing).

- All face to face sessions will be held at Weldon Library at Taylor library or Weldon library (both in Western University). Online sessions will be held using Skype.

Details

How do I count the time of instruction?
- I would count every 30 minutes and add it up to the number of hours per session (example: 1 hour 15 minutes counts as 1.5 hours, not 1.25 hours).

Cancellation fee:
- More than 24 hours notice: $0
- Less than 24 hours notice: $10 per hour booked on a session

Late arrival:
The session timing starts with the time booked, and any delay would be counted as part of the session.
