About Basil
I am a PhD-qualified Biotechnologist and experienced university educator with over 13 years of teaching Biology and Life Sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have taught and mentored more than 200 students per year, supervised 26 research projects, and published research in peer-reviewed international journals.
Science can feel overwhelming — but with the right guidance, it clicks. My teaching style is patient, structured, and always tailored to the individual student. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than surface-level memorization, so you feel confident walking into any exam or assessment.
Outside academia, I have worked as a Product Strategist and Scientific Advisor in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry — which means I bring real-world context to the science I teach, helping students see not just the theory, but why it matters in the real world.

I'm a PhD-qualified Biotechnologist with 12 years of university teaching experience, having taught and mentored over 200 students per year across undergraduate and postgraduate Biology and Science programs.
