About Christene
Teaching 485 students has been an incredible journey that started long ago when I realized the elegance of analytical thought. I started by tutoring peers in math and moved into the world of competitive chess.
The transition from pure mathematics to the board was natural for me. These 13 years have taught me that calculation and visualization are not just talents but skills built through rigorous practice.
I hold a PhD candidate status at the University of Chicago and apply that academic discipline to my coaching. I keep things simple. You will find that my approach prioritizes steady improvement and clear communication over complicated jargon.
