About Zhaohui
I am a PhD graduate in Quantum Communications from the University of Leeds, with AFHEA certification and over two years of experience teaching A-Level Maths, university mathematics, and engineering modules.
My motivation for teaching comes from my own experience as a student. Many lessons I received were heavy on information but light on clear explanation, which made learning unnecessarily difficult. I want to teach differently, to make concepts understandable, logical, and accessible so students don’t have to struggle alone.
Over the past two years of teaching maths at A-Level and university level, I’ve developed an approach that focuses on clarity, encouragement, and guiding students to express their own thinking before we refine it together. I believe this helps them build confidence and genuine understanding.

My teaching approach is encouragement-based and highly interactive. I guide students to express their own ideas first, then help them refine their reasoning and build confidence through structured problem-solving. This method strengthens independent thinking and makes students more exam-ready.
Lesson length is flexible and can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs, typically 60 to 90 minutes for A-Level and GCSE sessions.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as undergraduates who need support in mathematics or EEE-related subjects.
