About Aline
Chess has been a part of my life for 13 years and it remains a constant challenge that keeps me engaged. You will find that I emphasize pawn structures and tactical patterns to ensure you understand the board better than your opponent.
I have guided 422 students through the nuances of endgame technique and pattern recognition as well as middlegame planning. We spend time on king safety and time management because these elements are critical for any serious player. My opening repertoire building is based on years of deep study and practice. It is a pleasure to share this knowledge while I continue my own academic journey.

Concentration is the single most important asset you bring to the board. We begin with a diagnostic rating assessment first so I can see exactly how you play. The session then turns toward your specific weaknesses in a way that feels like a conversation between two peers. I use my background in higher level statistics to help you recognize patterns that others might miss.
We will look at your decision making during critical game moments to see where we can improve. I find that 13 years of teaching has taught me that the best players are the ones who reflect most deeply. By focusing on your unique style, we can sharpen your instincts for the next match.
