My approach to tutoring is centered on making chemistry clear, practical, and easier to understand. As a PhD chemist with university teaching and research experience, I combine clear explanations, guided problem-solving, real-world examples, and practice questions to help students build both understanding and confidence.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and reviewing challenging concepts or previous material. I then break complex topics into manageable steps, explain the underlying principles, work through examples together, and give the student opportunities to apply what they have learned. I adjust the pace and teaching style based on the student’s learning needs and provide additional practice or clarification where necessary.
My lessons are suitable for middle and high school students, undergraduate students taking general, organic, analytical, or related chemistry courses.
