About Zara
My name is Zara. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and graduated with honors from Herzen State Pedagogical University in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in France and have professional experience teaching chemistry in French institutions. Currently, I teach at colleges and universities in the USA. With 25 years of teaching experience, I have developed a clear, structured, and personalized approach that adapts to each student’s needs. I am a native speaker of Armenian and Russian and also fluent in English and French, which allows me to support multilingual students effectively. Outside of teaching, I enjoy music, sports, cinema, and reading books. My goal is to help students build confidence, achieve strong academic results, and truly understand chemistry.

A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s current level and specific difficulties. This is followed by a clear explanation of the topic, guided practice, and time for questions and discussion. I regularly check understanding and adjust the lesson as needed.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to combine advanced academic knowledge with a patient and accessible teaching style. I am a native speaker of Armenian and Russian, and I also speak English and French, which allows me to adapt explanations to multilingual students when helpful.
