About Kolby
Since 2008, I have taught mathematics and statistics to students ranging from middle school to PhD level. During that time, I have earned a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Michigan to pursue my interest in understanding how to help people learn mathematics.

My approach to tutoring is to identify students’ strengths, show them what they already know, and explain how they can use that knowledge to understand more complex ideas. Because studying mathematics is often stressful and frustrating for students, I work with empathy and compassion to help students develop skill and confidence doing work on their own. Many past students comment on my patience and dedication to their learning.
