About Mohammad

I’m a PhD-qualified engineer with over a decade of experience in math, physics, and coding — across academia and industry. I’ve worked as a lecturer and tutor at the Australian National University (ANU) and the University of Adelaide, helping students truly understand and succeed in their subjects. With a background in advanced research and AI-driven biomedical engineering, I know what it takes to master complex technical topics — and how overwhelming they can feel. That’s why my tutoring is built around clarity, structure, and practical understanding. I take a flexible, student-focused approach to tutoring, built around your goals, pace, and preferred learning style. Whether you're preparing for an exam, tackling a difficult assignment, or just trying to build a stronger grasp of your course material, every lesson is tailored to meet you exactly where you are.
My teaching style is all about breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use real-world examples, visual explanations, and practical problem-solving strategies to help you connect theory to application — and truly understand the material, not just memorise it.
Sessions are typically one hour, but I’m happy to adapt the length to what suits you best. You’ll always leave each session with a clearer understanding, greater confidence, and a practical path forward.
I create a relaxed, supportive environment where you're free to ask questions (as many as you like!), revisit tricky topics, and learn at your own pace — without pressure or judgment.

Pricing Information
My standard rate is $75 per hour, which includes customised lesson preparation, tailored study materials, and support between sessions for quick questions or follow-ups.

Most sessions are held online (via Zoom or your preferred platform), but I’m also available for in-person lessons in Melbourne. For in-person sessions beyond 10 km from St Kilda East, a small travel fee may apply—typically $10–$20, depending on the distance.

Some specialised or advanced subjects may require additional preparation and depth of expertise. For topics such as:

Control Systems
Signal Processing
MATLAB (advanced use)
Solid State Physics
Systems Engineering
Project-based support or final-year thesis work

the rate may vary slightly between $85–$95/hr, depending on the complexity and scope of the material. I’m happy to discuss your topic and provide a clear quote upfront.

If you're planning regular sessions or a semester-long partnership, I offer discounts for multi-session bookings. I understand students often have limited budgets, and I’m open to flexible arrangements where possible.
