About Niloofar

I have over eight years of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics at both high school and university levels. I began my career as a private tutor, helping high school students strengthen their understanding of core Physics and Math concepts, and later transitioned to teaching at the university level. I hold a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics and am deeply passionate about inspiring and transferring knowledge to young students through clear, engaging, and concept-driven instruction. In addition to my academic background, I have worked as an engineer in industry. This experience allows me to connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications and show students how Mathematics and Physics are used in practice. I often integrate practical examples into lessons to make learning more meaningful and motivating.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques

My teaching is concept-driven and structured. I focus on building deep understanding rather than memorization. In Physics, students often struggle because they try to apply formulas without understanding the underlying principles. I break down complex ideas into clear, logical steps and connect theory to practical examples.

I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs. Some students need strong theoretical foundations, while others benefit from visual explanations, problem-solving practice, or real-world applications. I use guided problem solving, step-by-step derivations, and targeted exercises to strengthen analytical thinking and confidence.

A Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson includes:

Quick review (5–10 minutes)
We revisit previous material to ensure retention and clarify any remaining doubts.

Concept explanation (15–25 minutes)
I introduce the main topic clearly and logically, explaining not only how but why.

Guided practice (20–30 minutes)
We solve problems together. I gradually reduce guidance so the student develops independence.

Independent problem solving
The student attempts questions while I observe and provide feedback.

Summary and strategy tips
We highlight key takeaways and discuss exam techniques or common pitfalls.
