About Masa
Salut! My name is Masa and I am a French Teacher. I work at Edge Hill University and at Bayswater College as a French Tutor. I have lived and studied in different countries including France, Ireland, Portugal, and Serbia. I currently live and work in the UK. I am passionate about teaching foreign languages to students from different countries and backgrounds. I am a language learner myself - at the moment, I study Portuguese and Hungarian!

I have been teaching French since 2015 and have a vast experience with different teaching methodologies. I tailor my approach according to students' needs and abilities, and the purpose of learning a language (e.g. school exam, learning for pleasure, official certificate exam, business French etc.). My lessons are interactive and engaging, and I use a lot of authentic material in my teaching (such as radio, TV, journal content).
My lessons are usually one or one and a half hours long, depending on the student's preferences.
I hold a BA (Hons) and an MA in French Language and Literature with Italian as a Second Language. In May 2023 I obtained my PhD from University of Galway, in the field of French Studies. I have worked as a French Tutor in Higher Education (University of Galway, Edge Hill University), in secondary schools, foreign language schools, as well as a Private Tutor. I have experience in working with all age groups and with students with different first languages and backgrounds. I also have experience in working with SEN students. Apart from French and English, which I speak at a near-native level, I am also fluent in Italian and Serbo-Croatian, and have a good command of Hungarian and Portuguese.
I can teach all levels, from Beginner to Advanced, and all age groups.
