About Rajat
I am a civil engineer with a PhD from the Colorado School of Mines and an MS from Virginia Tech. I have over a decade of experience designing and building some of the largest infrastructure projects in the US and internationally. My work involves applied mathematics, physics, and statistics every single day, from analyzing soil behavior under pressure to quantifying risk on billion-dollar tunnel projects.

I help students understand why the math works and where it shows up in practice. Whether you are a middle schooler trying to get comfortable with fractions, a high schooler preparing for AP exams, a college student navigating calculus or linear algebra, or a working professional brushing up on statistics for a career move, I tailor every session to where you are and where you want to go.
I am patient, methodical, and genuinely enjoy the moment when a concept clicks for someone. My goal is not just to help you pass a test but to make you feel capable and confident with quantitative thinking for the long run.
Broad outline of my approach:
1. Diagnose first. Every student starts in a different place. I spend the first session understanding your current level, learning style, and goals before jumping into content.
2. Connect to the real world. I draw on my engineering background to show students how algebra, geometry, and statistics are used in practice, making abstract topics tangible and interesting.
3. Build problem-solving habits. I focus on developing structured thinking so students can tackle new problems independently, not just replicate steps they have memorized.
4. Patient and encouraging. No question is too basic. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
