About Hesham
I am a dentist by profession with a passion for academia and research. I have been involved in research and then teaching ever since I graduated from dental school. I pursued an M.Sc in Oral biology from the Queen Mary, University of London followed by a PhD from the UCL Eastman Dental Institute which signifies my passion for research and academia. During my PhD I have been involved in supervising B.Sc students who were keen to pursue dentistry as their future careers and have graduated with distinctions. I maintain a friendly environment with the students so they may stay comfortable and confident while I am teaching them.

After graduating from my masters (M.Sc Oral Biology) I was appointed as a senior lecturer in Oral Biology at the dental school. My lectures were interactive sessions where I allowed the students to express their point of views which allowed me to assess their knowledge and learning capabilities. This way the students remain engaged and active and participated in the session. The session was usually for one hour as I believe a student cannot grasp information beyond that time scale.
