About Biswas
I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Immunology within the Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology (BMI) Department at the University of Saskatchewan.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a Master's degree in Infectious Disease from Kyoto University, Japan (ranked 33rd globally by QS World Ranking).
My academic excellence has been recognized with the Comgrad Scholarship (College of medicine) from the University of Saskatchewan and a full-tuition (JASSO/ MEXT) scholarship during my Master’s at Kyoto University.
I have gained significant pedagogical experience by completing several Teaching Assistantships in core sciences, including Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology.
I am an active member of the Canadian Natural Killer Cell Society.

Learning directly from a PhD student can be highly beneficial, as academic textbooks are essentially accumulations of PhD research and work. Having a clear, specialized knowledge base spanning microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, I am well-equipped to teach these subjects. Furthermore, my experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan has given me substantial insight into how to interact with, teach, and guide students through complicated topics.
Problem-solving sessions focusing on student coursework are available. Each class utilizes rich multimedia resources, including videos, diagrams, images, and slides, to facilitate understanding. To ensure all necessary materials are prepared and class time is maximized, students are required to submit their specific problems in advance.
