About Maria
PHILOSOPHY
The key to education is to love what you do and I love what I do. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing students' progress. As I teach with love and I create a fun environment for students (using games to practice the language), students become involved and interested in the classroom. I have also tutored one-on-one and I prepare a lot of different activities for the class and exercises for the student to be able to practice the language when I'm not there. I encourage watching TV news programs to practice listening comprehension and the use of flash cards for the student to memorize some short phrases. I have been teaching Theology for 30 years. I studied at the Opus Dei and at the Argentine Catholic University.
I have tutoring children and adults for 30 years. I teach Spanish, ESL and basic French. I prepare exercises, activities, flash cards and reading materials. I adjust to the student's curricula and schedule. I have been teaching TOEFL for 30 years, I train students in the areas of reading, writing, grammar and structures and listening comprehension. I have teaching kids from 1st. to 6th. grade and from 10th to 12th grade. I have certification 29, which is the one that is necessary to teach bilingual education.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I've worked with Maria for 22 years, she's extremely good at teaching languages. She's organized and experienced and knows the language grammar very well. She's a native speaker of Spanish and English.
She has high expectations of students. She challenges them to reach beyond their comfort level. Her instructional strategies engage students in the learning process. She is concerned about their success and talks to them when they do not perform at a high level.
