About Oscar
Recent EPFL BSc graduate, Imperial College alumnus, MSc student at the University of Oxford, and soon-to-be DPhil student. I have been programming since I am 9, and have a strong interest for programming and Computer Science in general. I also have a lot of practice in concrete projects, the newest being a contribution to the Scala 3 compiler (dotty), under M. Odersky's initial supervision. My research focuses primarily on Machine/Deep Learning, namely Geometric DL, supervised by Professor Bronstein. Willing to pass on this thirst for lines of codes or equations, and loving to teach, I believe that passing on knowledge to the Mathematics and programming communities is a very important duty.

Having graduated from EPFL obtaining my BSc in Computer Science, after spending a year in exchange at Imperial College (finished with a 1st class), I am about to complete my MSc at the University of Oxford in Advanced Computer Science, specialising in Machine Learning, namely Geometric Deep Learning. In October, I will start a PhD in Computer Science (specialising in ML as well). At EPFL, I worked as a teaching assistant for the most important course for freshers in Computer Science, with over 300 enrolled students. During my studies, I have often come to teach, for free, students at many different levels: French baccalauréat Mathematics, Mathematics for Engineers at Imperial College, Mathematics for year 7, Mathematics for EPFL students, and many more. I have a good teaching experience and history. At almost all modules at EPFL, I have obtained either the maximal grade or the one just below; for my French "scientific" ("S") baccalauréat, I obtained the grade of 20/20 at Mathematics with Further Maths ("Spé. Maths"). I have had a strong passion for Programming for a long time; having practised it for countless hours, and learnt it in depth theoretically, I can prepare you to achieve your goals in Programming, whether it is A-levels, GCSEs, le baccalauréat, Oxbridge exams, or undergraduate/graduate studies.

Oscar is a delightful young man. He helped my son in his A level Computer Science, he went from a C to and A!!! He is excellent at explaining things in laymans terms and slowing building complexity! Thank you for all your hard work Oscar.
Oscar has lots of knowledge and experience, he demonstrated his proficiency with Python when helping me and was an excellent teacher especially when it was hard; he’s good at breaking down concepts and explaining them simply. He’s organised and on top of things, I was satisfied and would recommend him.
Oscar is definitely the right tutor for you. Whether it's in computer science, maths, music, or in the many other fields in which he excels, his teaching quality is incredible. He took the time to accompany me, step by step, always listening to my questions and always there when I was having doubts. He will certainly know how to lead you to overcome your most complex academic challenges in your field, as he did in mine. 100% recommended for his methods and teaching skills: entrust him with your learning needs and he will entrust you with his experience.
Oscar and I did our bachelor together at EPFL, he’s one of the most brilliant guys I know. He helped me a lot when I was struggling with courses. He explains all concepts well, with clear examples. Oscar is definitely the one you’re looking for!
