About Evan
I have been teaching for nearly 40 years in both classroom and tutorial settings. I have a PhD in mathematics but have spent most of my time teaching at the grade school and remedial level. I have come to understand that mathematical ideas do not come easy to everyone and so I work patiently to help my students build a sense of self-confidence.

I have nearly 40 years experience in classrooms and as a tutor. I customize my teaching to the needs of my students. I try to get the student to work out problems themselves in front of me and find their weaknesses so we can focus on them. The student is expected to make an effort to solve his or her assignments, indicating which problems he or she finds troubling.
I have tutored at all levels, from grade school through graduate-level classes.
