About Kathleen

I have a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in cognition from McMaster University in Canada and extensive experience in research, including several peer-reviewed publications. I’ve also worked outside of academia, which gives me a more practical, real-world perspective on how these skills are actually used.

I take my work with students seriously and aim to be reliable, prepared, and thoughtful in how I support you. At the same time, I’m approachable and easy to talk to, and I try to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can ask questions and build confidence.

About the lesson

I work with college and university students on statistics, research methods, and academic writing, including ESL learners, especially in the social sciences.

Lessons are tailored to what you need most, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, working through assignments together, or improving clarity in your writing. My goal is to help you feel more confident and more able to tackle your work independently.

I have a PhD in Experimental Psychology from McMaster University in Canada and a strong background in research. I’m warm, patient, and non-judgmental, and I’m especially good at explaining complex ideas in a way that actually makes sense.
