About João
My name is João, and I am a university professor, researcher and experienced educator with a strong academic background in science and technology. I hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Physics, a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, and an MBA in Data Science and Analytics.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have taught and worked with mathematics, physics, statistics, programming and data analysis. I currently work as a data scientist and university program coordinator, combining practical industry experience with academic knowledge.
I believe every student can learn complex subjects when they are explained clearly, patiently and in a way that connects with their reality. My lessons take place in a respectful and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence.

My name is João, and my goal is to make mathematics, physics and statistics clear, practical and approachable. I adapt my teaching methodology to each student’s level, learning style and objectives, combining step-by-step explanations, visual examples, real-world applications and guided problem-solving.
A typical lesson begins with a short assessment of the student’s current understanding and difficulties. I then explain the main concepts, demonstrate how to solve relevant problems and guide the student through exercises of increasing difficulty. At the end, we review the key ideas, clarify any remaining questions and identify what should be practised next.
What sets me apart is my combination of strong academic training and teaching experience. I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Physics, a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, and experience as a university professor and programme coordinator. This background allows me to explain complex subjects clearly while connecting theory with practical applications.
My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, college and university students, as well as adults preparing for exams or seeking to strengthen their quantitative skills.
