About Charles-Joseph
I am a French native speaker and PhD physicist with a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge.
I studied physics in France, completing my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Sorbonne University, followed by a PhD in nuclear physics. During my academic and research career, I worked with internationally recognized scientific institutions, including CERN, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
I also have four years of teaching experience at Stony Brook University, where I taught and mentored students in physics. This experience allowed me to develop a clear, patient, and adaptable teaching approach tailored to different learning levels and backgrounds.
Whether you want to improve your French, strengthen your mathematical skills, or better understand physics, I adapt my lessons to each student’s goals and learning pace, focusing on deep understanding rather than memorization.

I offer personalized lessons in French, Physics, and Mathematics for students of all levels, from middle school to university.
I am a PhD physicist with an international scientific background, and I specialize in making complex concepts clear, intuitive, and engaging. My teaching approach focuses on understanding the fundamentals, developing problem-solving skills, and building confidence.
For French lessons, I help students improve their speaking, writing, grammar, and cultural understanding through practical and personalized sessions.
For Physics and Mathematics, I provide rigorous support in mechanics, electromagnetism, calculus, statistics, and advanced topics, adapting the lessons to each student’s goals (school support, exams, or deeper understanding).
Lessons can be conducted in English or French, online or in person in New York City.
