About John
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Condensed Matter Physics with a PhD from the Federal University of Sergipe, Brazil. I hold an MSc in Physics and am currently completing a Licentiate in Physics Education, combining deep subject expertise with formal teaching training.
I have direct UK tutoring experience, mentoring In2STEM students at University College London and teaching at the New Age After School Club in London. I am passionate about making Physics and Maths accessible, engaging, and even fun for students of all levels.
I am punctual, responsive, patient, and friendly. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, and I take pride in adapting my teaching to each individual's needs.

I am a PhD Physicist with direct UK tutoring experience, offering expert Physics and Maths lessons to students of all levels, from primary school through to GCSE, A-Level, and university foundation courses.
My teaching approach is built on clarity and understanding. Rather than encouraging rote memorisation, I break down complex concepts into simple, logical steps and use real-world examples from my research to make learning engaging and relevant. Whether you're preparing for exams, struggling with specific topics, or aiming to get ahead, I tailor every lesson to your individual goals and learning style.

I am patient, friendly, and committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that's how real learning happens.
Lessons are available online or in person within the Newtownabbey area. My schedule is fully flexible, and I am happy to accommodate evenings and weekends.
