About Alexandre

I am a physicist and mathematician with a PhD specializing in optics and laser physics. I have over 10 years of experience as a university lecturer and have guided students through both foundational topics and complex concepts in both physics and mathematics (including calculus, trigonometry, and pre-calculus). I have experience working with students from high school to graduate level. I also use my 30 years of industry experience to provide a real-world context to the topics covered in our sessions. This approach allows me to break down complex topics into easier to understand chunks, by emphasizing how the topics apply to real-world problems. I have authored over 40 patents and 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals, while working for leading biomedical companies (including Bayer and Siemens), as well as contributing to innovative projects in both small startups and as a scientific consultant. My teaching approach emphasizes helping you achieve a deep understanding of topics and is tailored to meet your specific needs. I begin every collaboration by understanding your specific needs and ambitions – whether it’s starting out from the basics in a brand new subject area, or preparing for a specific test, assignment or research project I develop a customized plan suited to meeting your specific needs.
