About Kirstie
Hi, I'm Kirstie, an Innovation Project Manager with a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Manchester and a First-Class degree in Design with Materials Engineering from Loughborough University.
I am passionate about Maths, Science, Design, and Engineering and have over 100 hours of private tutoring experience, helping students improve their confidence, achieve high grades, and reach their academic goals.

I begin by understanding each student's strengths, areas for improvement, and academic goals through an initial discussion and review of the syllabus. This allows me to tailor lessons to focus on the topics where support is needed most.
My approach is to break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps using visual aids, examples, and clear explanations to build a strong understanding of the fundamentals. Once students are comfortable with the core concepts, we apply their knowledge through exam-style questions and targeted practice.
I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adapt my teaching style to suit their individual learning needs. My aim is to build both confidence and understanding, helping students make steady progress towards their goals.
