About Anna
I am a PhD qualified mathematician with a background in applied mathematics and computational sciences. I have experience working as a mathematics tutor and graduate teaching assistant at university level, as well as teaching secondary level mathematics at an international school. This combination has helped me develop a patient, structured, and student-centered teaching style. I value clarity, empathy, and consistency in my work. Having personally experienced hesitation and anxiety around asking questions as a learner, I am particularly attentive to creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Because I was shy and hesitant to ask questions from an early age, I understand how intimidating mathematics can feel for many students. In my lessons, I focus on creating a calm and respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment.
I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences and have experience as a university graduate teaching assistant, mathematics tutor, and secondary level teacher at an international school. This background allows me to adapt my teaching to different levels and learning needs.
