About ROHAN
I am a qualified accounting lecturer with over three years’ UK and international teaching experience in Further and Higher Education, specialising in AAT Level 2 & 3 Costing, MAPS, POC, and Financial Accounting. Holding a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET), a Masters in Commerce, an MBA (Finance), and currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting and Finance, I bring both academic expertise and practical industry knowledge to my teaching. My professional journey includes lecturing at one of the colleges in the UK and serving as an Assistant Professor in India, where I have taught learners from diverse backgrounds aged 16 to adults. I have a proven record of helping students improve achievement rates, develop practical skills, and gain exam confidence, with many progressing to higher levels of study and successful careers. I maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ensuring lessons are well-structured, engaging, and tailored to individual needs. I integrate real-world tools like Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero to give students practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. My tutoring style is student-centred, interactive, and practical. I believe accounting is best learnt through a combination of clear conceptual explanations and real-world application, so I integrate case studies, industry tools (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero), and problem-solving activities into each session. I also use digital learning platforms such as Moodle, Zoom, and Kahoot to make lessons engaging and to check understanding in real time. I adapt my methodology to suit the learner’s needs—whether they prefer structured step-by-step guidance or a more discussion-based approach. For complex topics like costing, MAPS, or financial accounting, I break down concepts into manageable stages, using examples and guided exercises to ensure deep understanding. I also provide targeted revision strategies, exam practice, and feedback to build confidence. A typical lesson is 60–90 minutes, allowing time for concept introduction, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and recap. I also offer short follow-up tasks to consolidate learning between sessions. I hold a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET), a Masters in Commerce, an MBA (Finance), and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting and Finance. My professional teaching experience spans the UK and India, including roles as a Lecturer in Further Education (East Surrey College) and Assistant Professor in Higher Education, specialising in AAT Level 2 & 3, costing, MAPS, POC, and financial accounting. My lessons are designed for AAT students (Level 2 & 3), BTEC business students, undergraduate learners, and adult learners who want to strengthen their knowledge of cost and financial accounting. I have taught learners aged 16+ through to mature students, tailoring delivery to suit varied backgrounds and learning speeds.
