About Garima
I am an archaeologist and I teach history to school as well as college students. Being an archaeologist myself, I have access to several resources through which I make my classes interactive. For instance; while teaching about stone age I show original stone age tools that I have myself collected during my fieldwork. I also have a few coins from various dynasties like Kushana, Mughal and British. Since Delhi has numerous historical monuments, in a group of at least 5, we can have a few Medieval history classes on sites like Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Mehrauli Archaeological Park and classes on the history of Ancient India at the Old Fort or National Museum. I have discovered a stone age site in Gurugram that was published by a prestigious Journal of national repute and while studying about Stone age or Prehistory I would gladly take you to the site (in a group of at least 5). I understand history is not a very interesting subject for many in school. That is the reason why being an archaeologist I insist on teaching history so that its taught in the most interesting way.
I can teach geography to Class 11th and 12th students. As I have a unique background of quaternary geomorphology along with Archaeology. I can teach students techniques of geographical field survey, I have copies of original toposheets that are part of the curriculum and can teach them how to read them. I come with experience and that experience can make my classes interesting for students.

Medium of my teaching would be through presentations. in case of both, online as well as offline classes. I show ancient coins and other relevant objects to make the subject interesting. I try to provide cross-references to various other subjects. Incase of a group (at least 5), classes could be arranged at historical monuments like Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Mehrauli Archaeological Park for classes on Medieval Indian History and Old Fort or National Museum for classes related to Ancient Indian History.
For students of geography, I can take them (at least 5) on field to show how geographical surveys are done or I can teach them through various photographs, google maps and toposheets that are part of my personal collection.
