About Laura
I have been teaching at major universities, as a AP teacher in public school and as a one in one teacher for over a decade. I take opportunities to try out new learning theories and strategies in my teaching and to keep current with the various learning Sid’s that are available. In addition to pedagogical concerns, I read volumes of foreign language books and watch current film offerings as I like to incorporate what is current ( but also meritorious) in the content I present.

I listen closely to understand the needs, desires and interests of every individual, and will mold content, input and style to allow for full engagement and happiest outcomes. I have many years experience teaching language at various levels and a wide range of formats. I am intellectually trained and still curious, but never heavy handed with theory or perspectives. What works best for learning is a student who is interested, engaged, and is making strides.
