About Victor

I am a PhD-trained scientist with a background in Molecular Medicine, supported by an MSc in Molecular Toxicology. I have taught at the University of Sheffield and the University of Nottingham. I specialise in tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, helping students improve both their understanding and exam performance in a structured and supportive way.

My academic and professional background in mathematical biology and biomedical sciences allows me to explain complex topics clearly and accurately, always aligned with exam board requirements. I focus on building strong foundations first, then developing exam technique so students can confidently apply their knowledge under timed conditions.

I have significant teaching and mentoring experience in academic environments, including lecturing and supporting students at both university and school level. This has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learners and ensure steady, measurable progress.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is structured, clear, and focused on helping students build both understanding and exam performance. I specialise in breaking down complex topics into simple, logical steps so that students can grasp key concepts quickly and apply them confidently in exam questions. A strong focus is placed on exam technique, including how to interpret questions, structure answers, and maximise marks under timed conditions.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and attention span. Each session is tailored to the individual, whether that involves strengthening core understanding, targeting specific weak areas, or working through exam-style questions and past papers to build confidence and accuracy.

I hold a PhD in Molecular Medicine, alongside an MSc in Molecular Toxicology. I also have extensive teaching experience in academic settings, including lecturing and supporting students at both university and school level. This background allows me to explain scientific and mathematical concepts with clarity, precision, and strong alignment to exam expectations.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-Level students, typically aged 11–18, studying Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. The goal is always to improve confidence, deepen understanding, and achieve measurable improvement in exam performance.
