Hi there! I am a tutor in A-level Maths, Physics and Chemistry tutor and I also do sessions offering University application advice (both US and UK admissions for undergrad and grad apps). Happy to offer a free 30min trial lesson to see if I can help you!
I am a motivated and hard-working student, and I love helping others develop the same qualities and succeed in their academic career. My students say that I explain difficult topics in great detail and that my lessons are enjoyable as I always relate the learning to real-life examples.
My Qualifications Include:
Imperial College London (2019-2023)
MEng Biomedical Engineering
Stanford University (2023-2028)
PhD Mechanical Engineering
Queen Ethelburga's College (2016-2018)
A-level Mathematics (A*)
A-level Chemistry (A*)
A-level Biology (A*)
A-level Physics (A*)
A-level Further Mathematics (A)
I have one year of tutoring experience, predominantly teaching A-level Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Having done A-levels very recently and have received excellent grades (4A*A), I have a very good understanding of all the specifications, and I can also give advice on useful revision and examination techniques to achieve your best result. Not only will we have weekly sessions, I will also serve as a mentor through your studies, happy to answer any questions you may have outside of our weekly sessions.
My approach to teaching is to preach for a deep thorough understanding of a topic before starting exam questions. I will go over any topics you are struggling and develop that understanding before we move on to practice questions. I will then set weekly homework along with answers for you to assess your own understanding. I am a patient and thoughtful tutor, and I constantly engage with the student to ensure he/she fully understands the topic and if not I will explore different avenues to explain the idea. I fully believe that anyone has the potential to get good grades, the only thing stopping them is effort and the approach. Not only will I teach subject matters, I will also try to develop these two qualities into students learning.
