About Salina
I have been tutoring and mentoring students from all different backgrounds in the sciences since my undergraduate career. Now, I am in my fourth year enrolled in a doctoral program in physics with a concentration in Nuclear Physics. I can provide a detailed CV and references upon request.

Math and physics problems are usually challenging at first, but can be mastered with the right approach. My teaching plan involves giving students the chance to reflect on their weaknesses when it comes to approaching these sometimes difficult problems. I usually start with doing homework problems with the student and outlining and highlighting the key words and equations to make it easier to reach a solution. Doing example problems and making sure the student understands what the problem is asking, e.g. breaking down a problem with a free body diagram, is the key to solving physics and math problems.
