About Raven
I have taught four college level classes in political science and urban studies and I have taught English to 7th and 8th grade students in China for a period of 2 months. I have also taught a one month seminar on globalization to college students and several workshops on research methods and data collection to students between 17-22 in South Africa .

I enjoy teaching because learning is fun! I like to make lessons fun and engaging!
I like to use interactive methods, such as memorization games and songs, to engage with students. I usually start a class or session with a short lecture, followed by questions and answers, then an activity, followed by more questions and answers, and a review.
I currently teach political science to undergraduate students at the City University of New York.
My background includes a BA in anthropology from Bennington College, and MA in international development from The New School, and MPH in global public health from New York University, and am currently a PhD student in Public and Urban Policy at The New School. I have submitted my literature review and have taken my comprehensive exams, and am currently in the process of waiting for the results, while I work on my dissertation proposal.
