About Kayleigh
I am a biologist actively doing research in a lab at the University of Pennsylvania. I recently got my PhD in biology from UNC-Chapel Hill. I have 9 years of teaching and tutoring experience: I have tutored students preparing for the SAT, ACT, and SAT subject exams, as well as students at the high school and college level in biology and math. Additionally, I have served as instructor of introductory biology courses at UNC-Chapel Hill and Meredith College, a small liberal arts college in Raleigh, North Carolina.

As a teacher, I aim to provide my students with the analytical skills necessary in their ongoing pursuit of knowledge and the communication skills to properly express their ideas both within and outside the classroom. As such, my approach and goals vary with the identity and goals of the student. I ask students to set goals when we first start working together and to actively participate in sessions. I also evaluate student progress with assessments throughout the program and check-in with my students regularly to make sure we are meeting their goals.

Details
If lessons are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, I will not charge students. If lessons are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, I will charge students $25.
