About Louis

I've been teaching for several years. I took my first student on in 2012 as a mentor-student relationship, then added another and another and finally started my own coaching business where that whole practice could be more refined towards practical application in any person's life, no matter how young or how old. I coached eight individuals last year through many and various aspects of life for lengthy periods of time, and you better know I incorporated philosophy into those conversations!

About the lesson

I teach using an alternation between the Socratic method of asking questions and inspiring inquiry, on the one hand, and Nietzschean aphorism and assertion on the other, which provokes critical engagement and independent development of perspective. I'm renowned for deep listening and deeply dignifying the positions of everyone in the room, while also challenging them to ground those positions in what works and what is demonstrable and accessible through discussion. My students have a LOT of fun.

My classes are for the high school and college level philosophy student - those way ahead of the game and craving more philosophy at a very young age, or those who are wanting their head to stop spinning as they encounter philosophy for the first time at a slightly older age.
