About Josh
I have seven years of experience as a teaching assistant in philosophy, political science, the history of science, and arts. In addition, I have tutored students from Grade 6 all the way up to graduate school. I also am a published author in philosophy (journal articles and chapters in academic texts).

My approach to teaching depends on the student: I often work out an individual study plan / syllabus with students that meets their needs (if they are a student looking to brush up on a certain issue) or fits their interests (if they want to explore a topic, but have little background in).
In terms of lessons, I often provide brief lectures (and notes for the student's personal use), engage in lively discussion about concepts or issues the student wants to understand better, and can occasionally bring in media or popular culture as a helpful aid for working through material. Students range from high school to university.
