About Stephanie

I began teaching at 15, when I gave my first piano lessons, and since then I’ve expanded my experience to tutoring maths, philosophy, and history. I also offer university application support, including for Oxbridge. Over the years, I’ve found that what excites me most about teaching is witnessing my students’ progress firsthand—the “lightbulb moments” when concepts click, and the growing confidence that comes with steady support and guidance. My tutoring approach is built around genuine understanding. Rather than relying on memorization, I help students truly grasp the material, which not only makes learning more enjoyable but also leads to lasting improvement in school and beyond. I look forward to working with you, helping you build confidence, and guiding you towards success on your academic journey!

About the lesson

I tutor Philosophy up to undergraduate level, History up to A Level standard, and Maths up to GCSE. I also provide mentoring for Oxbridge admissions interviews and tests. I have been tutoring since I was 15, and have thus developed a unique style focused on encouraging genuine understanding. This not only encourages enthusiasm for the subject, but is also proven to be conducive to performing better in exams. My students enjoy quick results, and learn techniques which help them excel on their own terms and well into the future. My lessons typically last an hour, although this can be adjusted based on your individual needs. My rates vary depending on the subject and level I am tutoring.
