About Trey

Hi there! I have a BA (First Class) in Human, Social, and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and an MA (Distinction) in Philosophy & Contemporary Critical Theory, for which I also won the Outstanding Achievement award for the highest grade on the programme. While I have tutored applicants for a range of social science subjects, my research specialisms lie in political philosophy and social theory, writing my Master's dissertation on the concept of freedom in G.W.F Hegel and Jacques Ranciere. I am a PhD researcher for the project, 'Between Revolution and Recuperation: Instituent Power in Claude Lefort, Cornelius Castoriadis, and Roberto Esposito'.

Please see a more detailed breakdown of my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees below for a sense of my topics of interest and tutoring areas, from 19th century political thought, to the economics of global capitalism, and the sociology of media.
