About Gonzaga
I am a visual artist, photographer and filmmaker from Spain based in New York, with extensive experience developing photographic and video projects for cultural organizations and creative clients. My work has been presented in recognized exhibitions and film festivals, nationally and internationally, as part of a professional artistic career. I focus on storytelling, composition, and light, and in our classes I share the same practical techniques and editing processes I use in my own practice. My goal is for you to feel confident, clear, and creatively empowered when you make images.

Do you want to take better photos — with the camera you already have?
I’m a visual artist and filmmaker based in NYC, and I teach photography in a simple, practical, and creative way. Whether you’re using an iPhone, another phone, or a digital camera, I’ll help you understand how to see light, compose stronger images, and tell a story through your photos.
What I teach:
- iPhone / smartphone photography
- Digital camera basics (manual mode, lenses, exposure, focus)
- Creative composition + working with natural light
- Editing on phone and laptop
- Photoshop + digital workflow
- How to develop your personal style
Who my classes are for:
Beginners, hobby photographers, artists, creators, travelers, content creators, and anyone who wants to feel more confident with photography.
How it works:
We move at your rhythm. Each session mixes short explanations with hands-on practice, real examples, and assignments you can try between classes. We can meet on the Upper West Side, online, or a mix of both.
