About Anastasiia
I am a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology majoring in physics. I have 2 years of tutoring experience, helping middle/high schoolers with both school program math/physics and physics olympiads. All of my students showed extraordinary results in their studies.
Through 2015-2019, I have won multiple national Olympiads in Physics and Astronomy and the International Physics Olympiad. During my first freshmen year in college, I was a member of the jury for the National Physics Olympiad.
At MIT, I was working as a research assistant at the MIT Materials Research Laboratory and the Center for Theoretical Physics.

Teaching math and physics to middle and high school students. Practicing an individualistic approach and creating an effective and comprehensive personalized plan that takes into account factors such as initial level of preparation, final goals, timeframe, preferred pace, and any accommodations needed.
Every student is unique, so teaching methods vary to optimize the efficiency of learning and maximize the understanding of the subject. However, the mandatory parts of any learning process that lay the foundation for future success are:
- doing assigned readings and warm-up exercises before each lesson;
- doing homework problems on covered topics which will be evaluated before each lesson; in case of having any difficulties with the problems, I encourage students to reach out to me beforehand so we can prepare to discuss it at the start of the lesson;
- failing to do the assigned work twice will be reported to the parents and can result in stopping tutoring sessions;
- for remote lessons on Zoom, having iPad or some electronic notes format proved to be significantly helpful for all my past students, so I strongly encourage students to use one.
The first two lessons are spent on figuring out the goals, topics to be covered, pace, student's current knowledge and designing a study plan. The first lesson is free.
