About Madeleine
After graduating, from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 with honours in Physics and Astrophysics, my degree has supplied me not only with a broad understanding of my subject area but with a well developed skillset.
I have been teaching Physics for a number of years at a highly achieving secondary school and sixth form where the majority of students achieve grades 8-9 at GCSE in the sciences.
I am qualified to teach all three sciences up to GCSE, and Physics to A-level.

In my tutoring sessions, the main focus will not only be on developing a deeper understanding of physics and maths but also improving upon exam technique of the students. This will involve both taught sections and worked examples. In the initial session, I will discuss with the student what subject areas they feel need the most attention to begin planning future lessons.
I focus on promoting resilience in pushing through problems and developing the skills to tackle even the trickiest of content, rather than relying on rote learning and memorisation of model answers.
