Azal is an incredibly honest and intelligent person. He consistently looks out for his peers and colleagues and is always looking for ways to be reflective and improve. I had the pleasure of being Azal's teacher and have known him for over 4 years. He has an impressive ability to mentor and coach his peers. He effectively distills complex ideas into manageable information by contextualizing complex ideas.

Azal brings high energy to any new topic he explores in mathematics, and shares his joy and understanding with others in a way that draws them in. He is patient and able to hear and understand questions that are posed to him, helping him to explain things to anyone! As one of his teachers, I have valued his ability to help others.
