When you get in touch, I will start by setting up a free chat of up to 30 minutes with you. Here we can discuss the exact nature of the support you would like and how our sessions will be structured.
The sessions themselves can be of either one or two hours each, depending on your availability and preferences.
Each session will begin with a short warm up and the opportunity to raise any topics or questions you have been struggling with recently. The main part of each session will involve working through problems: this will allow me to identify any gaps in your understanding, and skills that I can help you develop. At the end of each session, I will ask you to flag anything you want to cover or recap next time: I will use a combination of your thoughts and my own judgement to plan our next session.

So in year 12 I was rather demotivated with physics as I was at a working at grade of a D 🫣. However i took on a physics mentor who explained everything so simply that I could understand . She seemed to know everything about what I asked and knew the topic inside out . Her analogies were Real life situations that I could relate to. She helped me a lot and gave me confidence and ended up getting a B in the final end of year and then predicted an A which was above my expectations . I love my mentor very much as she was so prepared each lesson but also made sure to make time for me in her timetable even doing online lessons after school .would definitely recommend her ️️️️️

I have supported a previous student to improve from working grade of a D to achieving a predicted grade of an A in Year 12 Physics A Level.
A previous student said: '[Emily] explained everything so simply. She seemed to know everything about what I asked ... she was so prepared for each lesson.'
