About Jerald
I have a track record of helping students succeed and reach their goals. I've coached top students who have gone on to world class universities as well as students struggling with remedial math until pathways are found to get rid of math anxiety.
in addition to teaching physics in college, I taught courses in astronomy and one called Physics for Poets that i developed. That is a Physics class with very little math . . designed for science writers and others who have a need to know, but lack a mathematics background. Those ideas also help in tutoring and teaching a classic Physics course where students need to be grounded in the ideas behind the math.

Developed special methods for teaching remedial math and algebra for students with math anxiety as well as advanced students who desired a better understanding of what was going on. For many students, I use the Harvard Case teaching approach or traditional methods as I recognize each student is different so I tailor the approach to each student's unique learning style. I have taught students with special learning needs and have taught other instructors to do the same.
I coach advanced students and help them prepare applications for top universities around the world like Harvard, Oxford, MIT, Cambridge, Tsinghua, Tokyo a d others.
Taught technical English conversation and business etiquette courses to groups of executives, scientists, and politicians from China, Russia, Japan, Philippians, and African nations.
In addition to teaching I worked as a physicist for the government with a great deal of practical experience.
