My tutoring method is example-based learning, as physics and math are learned best by practice. I first gauge understanding of the material by using simple concepts, then building up with more complex examples. Lesson plans include an overview of the subject at hand, then I dive into a relevant example, where I explain each step as I am solving it. I then present a similar but different example for the student to solve on their own without me explaining what to do. I then increase the difficulty until the student understands the material at an appropriate level. I love to be involved with the student’s practice as much as possible. This method is useful for all classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and calculus classes at the high school and university level.
