About Travis
I am a recent graduate of the University of British Columbia, and a current graduate student at the University of Alberta. I am passionate about physics, as it allows us to understand the world around us on a very fundamental level.
There is a tendency in popular media to portray science and math as topics only for gifted geniuses. This couldn't be further from the truth. Almost every scientist has struggled to understand something or had a hard time understanding a topic at some point in their lives. What matters is perseverance and a curious spirit, which a student is already showing by asking for help.

I am experienced in a wide variety of mathematical and scientific subjects, including both BC and AB curriculum from grades 8-12. My specialty is physics, and I can offer support to a wide range of experience levels. I can also provide assistance with university-level topics, including:
- Calculus (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
- Differential Equations
- Electrodynamics
- Quantum Mechanics
- Kinematics
I generally begin by consulting with a student to find what topics are proving difficult, and work together with them to create individual lesson plans and strategies.
Further, I have experience with neurodiversity and the challenges it may bring to a student in an educational context, and will work with students to learn on their own terms.
