About Emery
I completed my M.Sc in Experimental Physics after developing a deep interest in understanding how physical laws govern natural phenomena. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them move from confusion to clarity through structured explanation and patient guidance. My academic training allows me to present complex ideas in a way that feels approachable and logical.
My teaching philosophy centres on clarity, consistency, and encouragement. I prioritise creating a calm learning environment where students feel safe asking questions and exploring ideas. By using diagrams, demonstrations, and real-world connections, I help learners build meaningful understanding rather than rote memorisation.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with physics through research reading, conceptual study, and scientific discussions. This ongoing involvement helps me keep lessons fresh and relevant. Physics can feel intimidating until students realise it is built on logical patterns that describe the natural world. I emphasise visualisation, real-world examples, and step-by-step reasoning so students can connect equations to physical meaning. Intermediate learners strengthen their skills in calculations, graph interpretation, and multi-step reasoning.
